This is not a joke -- has anyone heard of 'portable sheets'?
 

I was listening to a radio interview with a comedian who's on the road a lot. She says she brings along something that sounds like a sleeping bag but without the stuffing. Essentially, I guess, it's sort of like a giant pillowcase that you sleep in. Supposedly, they sell them in high thread counts, so that if you're sleeping at a cheap motel, you can feel like you're in luxury.<BR><BR>Ever heard of them? Where to get them?

Or you could just buy a set of sheets and sew them together.

Look at any of those SkyMall magazines on your next flight. They sell them there. It's like a sleeping bag for the germphobic.

They were originally invented for use in hostels.

You can buy them at any travel store, they are called "Sleep Sacks". It is like a sleeping bag only much thinrrer and just a layer of sheeting. you actually put it in the bed and use the hotels blanket and comforter but your own sheets.<BR><BR>Recently I ahve even seen these sold at regular stores like"Bed, Bath, and Beyond" as well as "Linens and Things". These are both nationwide stores but if for soem reason they don't hae one in your area, try www.bedbathandbeyond.com. I think I saw them there for under $30.

Sleepy- Even if you can't sew, you can do this with a glue gun or safety pins:<BR>take a king size sheet, fold it in half the long way. Seal the bottom edge with whatever you are using then continue sealing 1/2 way up the long side. It will now look like a cotton sleeping bag that is 1/2 zipped closed.<BR>you can make a clean pocket to stuff your pillow by turning down and sealing the top 18 inches as well. put blanket on top of sack, fold part of the sheet down to cover the blanket, then sleep!<BR><BR>------<BR>|____|<BR>| | <BR>| |<BR>|----|<BR><BR><BR>
