easy: In South Pasadena/Arcadia, the little old ladies have indeed killed finishing the I-710. In their defense, there are some cute little Craftsman houses (that I'd love to own myself) that would be demolished-- a real loss. But then again, freeway traffic then has to slog through South Pasadena/Arcadia, if they aren't familiar with the other freeways....
here_today, I know you're loving where you live now (I don't blame you), but I do envy the fact that you lived in Pasadena. I think that it's one of the very few cities in this area I'd relocate to. It's so uniquely charming....
illusion, I love Rotties too (for the uninitiated, that would be Rottweillers)-- if they're not trained to be attack dogs, they're sweet and loyal. The same with pit bulls and Dobermans-- these can be wonderful pets if treated with lots of love and affection. Currently there are no restrictions on breeds of dogs. However, Animal Control are very active in this area; leash laws are unambiguous. If your dog is leashed or kept in a fenced yard, no problem. If the dog is off the leash or escapes and attacks anything/anyone, they'll take it. I have no problem with that.

As much as Pasadena has changed, it has stayed the same! I guess this is why I never really left the area. Does living in Sierra Madre count as "moving away?" lol
As for the dogs, I would think the biggest problem would in finding a landlord who would allow them. Most rentals these days are no pets or small pets only.
