Things to do near Lexington, Virginia

I have a chance to spend a couple of days in Lexington -- Sunday night through Tuesday noon towards the end of March. Does anyone have any ideas on what I might do or see? Thanks in advance.

We liked the George Marshall Museum at VMI, the VMI Museum, the Lee Chapel at Washington & Lee U, the Stonewall Jackson House. There are also historical driving and walking tours.

Thank you, I see the Natural Bridge is near there, too. Is that interesting?

Natural Bridges is very pretty, my husband was from Virginia and we visited there among other places on one of many trips to visit his parents.

Charlottesville is lovely but not real near Lexington.

From what I read about the natural Bridge, it didn't appeal to me.

Washington and Lee in Lexington is such a pretty college town- the Lee Chapel is very interesting. VMI is a very distinct difference from W&LU. A very special young man that we know is enrolled at W&LU and we love to go up and shop around in the town and then have a great lunch or dinner. There are several good restaurants in town. I have to say that it is pretty far away from other places of interest.
