Things to do in Tucson

Hi planning a trip to Arizona in April which will include a day and a half in Tucson and need help with the following:
- Is a 1/2 day too little to see th Pima Air and Space and the Titan Air Missile site? Not sure how far apart they are or how much time to allow for each.
- Is Old Tucson a full day or coud I combine it with Sonoran Museum in one day?
Thanks!

You could spend a day at the Pima Air and Space alone. we did both but it was a long, full day. Skip Old Tucson but see the Sonoran museum for sure. that would be just a half day or you could also try to do the canyon walk as well.

With only a day and a half in Tucson I would skip the Air Museum and the Titan Museum (which is in Green Valley, actually). April is usually beautiful and I would do outdoor things. The Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum is a must! Other great areas for hiking and learning about the desert are Saguaro National Monument, Sabino Canyon, and trails all around Tucson - Pima Canyon area, Ventana Canyon area, Reddington Pass, etc.

Ok...looks like we'll scratch the Titan Air Missile site. Don't think I'll be able to talk my hubby and son out of Pima....they're airplane freaks. Sonoran Desert Museum sounds like a must....Not sure about Old Tucson....any other thoughts on whether it's worth seeing?

Depending on when in april you go....we had snow in Nogales, cold rain and very high winds during our trip the last week of march. our hosts kept telling us that this was very unusual weather but it didn't make the time any drier or warmer. We did hike sabino canyon which was our best day weather-wise. If it were me, I'd do Pima museum, Sabino Canyon and Sonoran Museum which is another outdoor walk kind of thing, weather permitting!

Skip Old Tucson. It was fun once, about
1968.
Spend your time and money at Arizona-
Sonora Desert Museum. Nothing like it in the world ! OK, I AM biased I was a docent there when I lived in Tucson
and I've still never experienced anything like it.

Check out their website-
desertmuseum.org

If you are going by April 10th do not miss the raptor free flight-give yourself about 30 mins. to walk from the museum entrance to where the handlers are letting them fly.
The flying/airplane freaks should love it.

I would say definately do desert museum. There isn't really much to do/see in Old Tucson. the Pima air and space museum and desert museum arent too close together. they're like half an hour apart. But April weather is great here, not usually the same as Nogales. Spring is a great time to be outdoors, before it gets too hot.
