Things to do in South Carolina (Clemson, Columbia, Charleston)
I am taking my daughter on college visits to Clemson and Unibersity of South Carolina, and I am looking for things we can do after tours (about a day in Columbia and a day in Clemson). We will also have an extra day which we are considering going to Charleston (both of us have been before) but I am open to suggestions. What are some things we can do to make this trip more fun?

Have a look at my blogs on a visit in & around Charleston:

The Charleston Tea Plantation may be of interest, an unusual & less well-known place to visit not far outside the city.

Clemson: be sure to visit the dairy store on campus for the best peach ice cream in the whole world from the university's cows and the university's orchards.
For a longer expedition, drive into the mountains from Clemson via US 123 and State 28. You can go all the way to Highlands, NC, cool, beautiful, upscale. Have lunch, shop come back. Take a brief detour on SC 114 to Oconee State Park with its beautiful lake. Get out further down the mountain and walk into Stumphouse Mountain Tunnel, where Clemson ages its blue cheese, also sold in the dairy store on campus. Always 55 degrees.
