XXX: CT bound means Connecticut. CT: I don't know if you can, but that is the home of Martha Stewart, tour her house, I think she is busy preparing for JAIL. There are great shops there, and small eateries that serve very diverse foods. Depends on your tastes, sea food, asian, visit an old irish pub, there are many. Enjoy.

Yes - I meant Connecticut. I should have put that in the title.

Any specific recommendations on places to go near the Sheraton hotel? Brewery? Lunch? Brunch?

Thanks again!

Martha lives in Westport, a short drive but very different from Norwalk...

SoNo area has the Maritime Center, a small charming historical society with fun "antique/thrift" shop (no clothes), upscale shops and a few outlet shops a few blocks away (outlet center for Exposures, catalog of fine picture frames and albums)and a few nice restaurants including a good brewpub, The Brewhouse.

Also, to see in Norwalk, (not SoNo area)
Lockwood Matthews mansion, and Stew Leonards (enormous grocery/dairy with fun dispalys and things to do with kids (it's very famous in the region)

Martha owns 8 homes.
Hard to know which one she's in at any one time as she's usually fleeing trying to avoid the wrath of neighbors.

Norwalk, California was the first thing that came to my mind. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't read everyone's name or e-mail address for clues to the destination.

Fee free to swing by and see me.
BTW the gardeners will be burying my money, not plants this week so ..

There's also an IMAX movie theater, which I believe is at the Maritime Center previously mentioned. If you've never been, it'a a giant dome screen (horizontally and vertically) and you feel like you're IN the scenery being shown. Really fun.

There are lots of restuarants, bars and nightlife in SONO. The Brewpub soesn't have very good food. Some of my favorites are Barcelona which serves great paella, really good tapas and has an extensive wine list by the glass. Habana is also a great place with a Cuban theme, lots of rum drinks, different and delicious food. Ocean drive is THE scene, especially on a Friday night, lots of good looking singles, a raw bar, seafood.

The loft is a good bar, lous, not live music, young crowd. Velvet is a dance club across the street from Loft, doesn't get going to late at night.

If your looking for nightlife, head to Sono. I assume you're here on business. If you're looking for stuff to do with kids, or in the daytime, let me know. Whole other agenda.
