Things to do in 'Frisco?

I am heading to San Fran (first time in 10 years) tomorrow. Any special events going on in the Convention Center area or new good places for supper?

First things first, Please don't call our city Frisco. It's San Francisco, no abbreviations.

Sorry Frisco no longer exists. If you've been here before you should know better.

What happened to the troll posters with IQ's above 60?
Who loosed these imbcelic cretin trollers upon the Fodor's board?

Go back to your coloring book now, OK XXX?

While I also suspect a troll, I must admit to a huge laugh every time I see people from San Francisco get so bent out of shape at the term "Frisco". I mean, who really cares anyway? Also, numerous songs (e.g. Otis Redding's Dock of the Bay, Harry Chapin's Taxi) call the city "Frisco" right? I thought this was the city of tolerance?

The whole area around the convention center has been revitalized - new shops, restaurants, hotels, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is located. Check "Cityguides" for a fantastic free tour of the Market Street area - can't be beat.
