Things to do in Chicago in 5 days!
Hi

Will be coming over from the Uk to Chicago for 5 days. Can anyone recommend the best itinerary for our visit?

We have a teenager in tow, so must be family orientated.

Many thanks.
D

1. The Art Institute of Chicago Museum
2. The Chicago Field Museum
3. Wicker Park shopping- Its like NYC's East Village- a teenager would appreciate it.(x-streets are North/Milwaukee/Damen)
4. There is a boat tour on the Chicago River- Im not sure if they have it in colder months but I highly recommend it.
5. Great Views and Drinks at the top of the John Hancock Bldg.
6. Of course, shopping on Michigan Ave.
7. Sushi at "Kamahachi".
8. A Cubs game or a Bulls game depending on when you go.
Great advice above. I always stress going to Hancock instead of Sears tower. Lunch at the top of the Hancock is surprising affordabe, just pick a sunny day. Also reccomend the river tower, or a lake cruise from Navy Pier to see a stunning skyline. If you haven't seen Blue Man group I'd highly recommend that, great for all ages. (Briar Street theatre, buy well in advance).
Definitely see Blue Man Group- ( and bring your raincoat) Your tennager will really enjoy it.

The Navy Pier is also a good stop.

Also, you can get show tickets for 1/2 price at Hottix. There is one located at the visitor center near the John Hancock tower.
