Hmm. Which am I? You know I've been thinking of myself as Thelma, but technically since I drove and all, I guess I was Louise. ;-)

We live just over the Vermont border SusanP. Just east of Granville. I can't wait to read about your adventures!

Tomorrow at 6am my husband boards a plain for six days in Oklahoma City and asked today if I wanted to drive him to the airport. I asked whether there was any chance he'd be surprising me with a plane ticket. He said no, so I'm opting for sleep.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback and entertaining emails.

Louise - I also just returned from Arizona - my first 2 stops sound a lot like yours.

I loved Sedona and the GC as well. My trip report will be coming later tonight, but I was happy to see that yours went so well!

I know this is an older post but I just have to second the recomendation for Cucina Rustica in Sedona AZ----that was one of the best meals I've ever had....

Appetizer of delicious Crab Cakes
Linguine Bolagnese
Friend had Chicken pasta dish-divine
Salad came with meals and the dressing was out of this world

Dessert- Creme Brule. Outstanding.

Wonderful service too. I think it's beyond perfect.

What a wonderful sister you are!!! That is a great gift to give anyone, especially a sister. What a trip you both must have had. I don't have the greatest relationship with one of my 2 sisters and would love to take my younger sister "the other one" on a surprise trip like that. You are a genuinely thoughtful and loving sister. My best to you and your sister!!! P.S. Your story had tears streaming down my face. You are a great writer also. Very descriptive and emotional. Thanks for your story.
