Theater District Restaurant
Looking for a moderate priced restaurant near the theater district. Preferably Italian, American. Will be in town on the 23 of October. Also, has anyone seen Smokey Joes Cafe?

Hi Deb - We loved SJC when we saw it last year - and you will too if you enjoy the 'golden oldies' songs of the 50's & 60's - great fun to silently sing along with the cast, which is excellent.

Got our tickets for a matinee same day performance at the TKTS

Hi Deb - Looks like technology had a mind of its own on that last posting, which also decided to clone itself ... anyway, as I was saying, we got our tickets at the TKTS booth on Times Sq for our same day matinee performance.

Hope you enjoy the performance as much as we did.

As for eats, we enjoyed Joey's Pasano (sp) - good food/service & not very crowded. There's also an Olive Garden near Times Sq if you enjoy those restaurants. Do save room for a calorie laden, sinfully rich dessert at Lindy's - there's one near Times Sq. Their cheesecake has to be the best in the universe.

Check out Pietrasanta Italian Restaurant at 47th and 9th avenues. Just a touch off the beaten path but it does get crowded! Great and moderately priced Italian food.
Ellen
