The Royal Hawaiian

Is it all it's cracked up to be? In other words, should I stay there? Should I just eat there? Should I just take a picture of it? <BR>Thanks.

Stay there!! In the old section. It'll be what you've always imagined Hawaii circa 1940 to be. It is old world style. it puts to shame (in my opinion) all those posh mega-resorts.

If nothing else, at least drink a Mai-Tai there while watching the sun go down.

Better yet, stay at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider. Very Hawaiian AND nice rooms, great restaurant by the banyon tree, rocking chairs out front--very lovely!

Chris, if you're interrested there's an auction at www.luxurylink.com for the Royal Hawaiian. The hotel comes up about once a month. Used them for The Kapalua Bay hotel before & got a really good deal.
