The Roosevelt Hotel New York City
The Roosevelt Hotel in NYC has undergone a recent rennovation. Does anyone have any information about the hotel and the area it resides? I am taking my first trip to NYC in August. Thanks! |
I stayed there 2 weeks ago. They are running specials because it's just partially open(300 out of 1000 rooms). The location is at 45th and Madison which is excellent. The lobby is gorgeous and the rooms are sparkling new. The staff bends over backwards to please. I highly reccomend it. Don't be dauntered by the construction when you drive up-inside it's lovely.

The recent rennovation has made this hotel a very lovely place to stay. The location is good, easy walking to major attractions. Visit Grand Central Station which is right next to The Roosevelt. The Roosevelt has a new web site www.theroosevelthotel.com.

I stayed at The Roosevelt BEFORE it was renovated
and thought it was a pretty good place to stay. The location is great! We went to see several Broadway plays and after the show found it near impossible to catch a cab, so we just walked to 42nd Street and caught a #104 crosstown bus. We got off at Grand Central Station and walked through that magnificent structure the back way to the Roosevelt. At the website www.hotelstravel. com, there's a bar to click that says you can get a terrific rate at the Roosevelt. Unfortunately I don't have the plug-in to the site, so I couldn't see what it was, but you might want to try. Have a great time! |
Hope you saw this on the Roosevelt web site:
"($107) Our Grand Opening Continues. This Rate Will Not. In honor of our $65 million renovation, you can stay in one of midtown Manhattan's finest hotels, within walking distance of Fifth Avenue shopping, for the unheard of price of just $107 per night. But hurry, this offer ends September 1, 1997." This is a terrific rate for a hotel in midtown's location. Hope you can take advantage of it! Enjoy! |
