"The restaurant at Chautauqua"?
I see this referred to periodically...
All I know is that it is near Boulder. Can anyone give me the name of the restaurant? The location? The url? I am looking for a good place to go tomorrow night while on business in Denver. Help! Any other reasonable place would certainly be considered too... the only constraint is that my client does not eat sushi :( Thanks!!!! |

If you decide you don't want to drive to Boulder, I like the following downtown restaurants:
Vesta Dipping Grill Zengo - Love the cuzco mojitos - but maybe not with a client! Bistro Vendome Panzano Rioja Tamayo - a little off, though, on my last visit You can find menus for all of the above if you do a google search. I like Chautauqua for Sunday brunch before a little hike. |
wtm003, I have a meeting in Broomfield so I want to stay in the area.
Do you have any suggestions for the Boulder area? |
Sorry, I didn't realize you were going to be in Broomfield. The last place I went in Boulder was Brasserie Ten Ten. I thought it was ok - but it seems to be very popular.
I know I have seen quite a few Boulder restaurants recommended on this board, so hopefully you'll get a few more suggestions. |
Ok, I went to this beautiful place!!!
I am so happy I did. We sat on the porch overlooking some amazing scenery. To our right was an open field with many people playing with thier dogs. A little further out, there was a childrens park with lots of kids laughing and playing. On the left was the Flatirons... just SPECTACULAR! The food: I ordered the avocado salad. It had spiced pecans and goat cheese. It was really simple and very good. For my entree I ordered a polenta mushroom 'stack'. It was very good as well. Dinner for 2, with cocktails was 50.00... an amazing bargain for what you get!!! I can't wait to do Sunday Brunch on a future trip! |
There's Bloom right in Broomfield.
http://www.foxrestaurantconcepts.com/bloom.html Depending on how much money you want to spend, you could go to the Flagstaff House in Boulder. http://www.flagstaffhouse.com/ If you don't want to spend that much, I highly recommend "The Med". One of my favorites in Boulder. http://www.themedboulder.com/ |
Not intending to hijack your thread TX, but I was looking into the accomodations there for my upcoming trip. Do any of you Boulder experts have and experience with the lodging at Chautauqua?
From everything I've read recently, the restaurant goes on my short list for sure! |
Yale, thanks for the link to "The Med" - I think I'll try it the next time in Boulder.
Tx, I'm glad you liked Chautauqua. If you do Sunday brunch, make sure you bring your hiking shoes! |
Lodging is available at Chatauqua, in rustic little cabins, but you need to look into whether it's your cup of tea.
|
wtm - I noticed you like brunch... the Boulder Dushanbe Tea House has a fabulous Sunday brunch menu. Plus the tea house is amazing to see anyway.
|
Hi Yale, I like brunch, lunch and dinner! I'm always looking for a new place so I'll add the tea house to my list. Thanks for the suggestion!
