The New "W" Hotel

The W Hotel has recently opened in New
Orleans. I am planning to stay there
in February, '02. If anyone can
tell me their experience there, I would
appreciate it.

There are 2 W Hotels in New Orleans... one in the French Quarter, the other in the CBD (Central Business District), called "W Hotel New Orleans". I will be staying at the W Hotel New Orleans next month (August), repost or bump your message near the end of the month and i'll give you my review.

All 'W' hotels are beautiful. You won't have a problem.

There have been a lot of posts on this board about the W hotels - particularly the one in the Quarter, I think, which is the old Hotel de la Poste, if I'm not mistaken. So - maybe there is info about the place under that name as well. The restaurant there is Bacco, run by part of the Brennan family and was good last time I was there. I've never been in the hotel itself.

The W on Poydas has a trendy bar, Whisky Blue and a very good restaurant called Zoe's. Neither place has much N.O. ambience, but that's exactly why I like to go - it's different. I've never been in a room there, so I don't have any info about that.
