The Napili Bay Resort

Hello all, I had such a great response to my last post, thought I would give it another try. In my pursuit of the place to celebrate our 25th anniversary, I have come upon The Napili Bay Resort. It seems quite nice with reasonable priced, clean, and modest condos that are beachfront. I would rather spend my cash on golf, activities, dining, etc? The condos do not have A/C. Is this an issue during the last week in May, first week in June? I have talked with several owners and they have a great website at www.the-napili-bay.com Anyway, all opinions are welcomed. The units seem to book up throughout the year. The beach seems like a nice one, and it appears that you are only 30 minutes from the action to the south if so desired. Looking for insight, am I missing something? Thanks

HockeyDad

Hi HockeyDad: I always have to have AC wherever I stay. You never know if there's going to be a hot spell. It depends on how heat sensitive you are though. When we stayed on Kaanapali Beach, we had AC and used it day and night.

We were in Hawaii last August, and although our hotel room in Maui had AC, our condo in Kauai did not. I was really apprehensive at first, but it ended up being just fine. The breeze in the evening coupled with the ceiling fan made it quite comfortable. (And I'm a baby about things like that!)However we hardly ever spent time in the condo during the heat of the day . . .

Thanks for the response. Its always helpful. We have taken several vacations without A/C, but always where there has been a nice breeze and low humidity
