The Napa Valley Lodge

I have just booked three nights at the Napa Valley Lodge for $199 a night on 2/24/05. Does anyone have any opinions of this place. And if so does the price sound o.k. Thanks

It is one of the Woodside Hotels, we have stayed at two of their other properties, The Monterey Plaza and the Bodega Bay Lodge, both were first class places.

Did you get your rate off of winecountry.com? The property sounds very nice, I'm considering this place, the Villagio or Meadowood for an upcoming stay. Let us know what you think! ***kim*** ((r))

They are offering a Romance Package on their website, same price as your room and it includes a few extra amenities. Have you seen that offer?

I called the Sonoma Mission Inn directly and was quoted a price of $279 for a room there, then got it for $169 on winecountry.com Great savings! ***kim*** ((f))

Go to the lodging section, then click on resorts and spas, you will see it and others listed there! :D

Good Luck! ***kim*** ((*))

Patty: I stayed at the Napa Valley Lodge while I was attending the Fodor's Yountville GTG.

Though not a luxury property like the Sonoma Mission Inn or the Villagio, it was very comfy and cozy. I especially liked the big bookcase in my room filled with books. There was a nice pool and garden area where they served a continental breakfast each morning. I didn't have a fireplace but did have a patio overlooking the garden with a view of the mountains.

Room Service came from the restaurant across the street - the name escapes me but it was very good.

That would be the Napa Valley Grille! ***kim*** ((l))

pattyd1, on another thread, you were asking about boutique wineries in Napa Valley, check out www.tastingonmain.com A tasting room in downtown St. Helena that sounds very interesting. :)

You may also want to post your inquiries on winecountry.com They have a message board on that site and off-topic posts are immediately deleted. Cheers! ***kim*** ((R))
