A gorgeous beach to relax, which to me means quiet, not too crowded, reasonably deep, easy parking, clean etc.... is not necessarily the same as a place to photograph. For a great photograph you might want some "visual interest."
Singer Island & Deerfield Beach are 2 east coast beaches I find relaxing yet reasonably accessible. On the west coast I liked the beach in Naples & also remember Clearwater Beach fondly from years ago. Not sure any of these would make remarkable photos though.

I enjoyed Sanibel. Found some wonderful shells & sand dollars washed up after a storm. It's not like the Caribbean since it is on the Gulf. Go to http://www.sanibelflorida.com/sanibelislandbeaches.htm & check out the beach pictures. Click on permit beach access & then click on some of the locations.

On the gulf coast you'll find that the north side of Longboat Key is uncrowded and beautiful. I like to take pictures of the rustic area near Beercan Alley on the most northern side of the island. For me it's truly the most relaxing and gorgeous beach.
