The Million Dollar Quartet - Apollo theater Chicago

Has anyone seen this show? Is it okay for 11 and 8 year old? Also, does anyone know if we could take the train from our hotel downtown to the Apollo Theater? Thanks!

Can't tell you anything about the show, but where are you staying?

The Apollo Theatre is about 3 blocks north of the Fullerton CTA station. You could take the Red Line on State Street toward Howard or the Brown Line on Wabash, Lake or Wells. Exit Fullerton walk a half block west to Sheffield Ave and turn right. The Apollo is on your right at the intersection of Sheffield, Lincoln and Wrightwood.

We're staying at the Residence inn on Dearborn. Thanks so much for the info!

We enjoyed the show, but are not sure about your children. There is nothing objectionable about the performance, but would your children enjoy the music?

Depends on the maturity of the children I'd say. Saw this show last year at the Goodman and it is a great show -- opening on Broadway soon, so the excitement of seeing it before that should also add to the experience. Are the kids into the story of the 50's rock and roll stars and the 50's music? But I guarantee they'll love the finale of Great Balls of Fire along with the rest of the audience!

It is a great show for people who have a history with the four stars' music or who have visited Sun Studio in Memphis. I don't think I saw any children or young teens at the performance I attended.
