The Latest From United Airlines
This morning, I received the following in an email from United Airlines. I've seen a couple of posts from worried travelers so thought this would be of interest.
This week United is pleased to share two important announcements with you. The members of the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) ratified their tentative agreement. Also, following a constant, good faith engagement, United and the International Association of Machinists (IAM) reached an agreement in principle. Together these actions set the stage for the completion of our restructuring and ability to offer you the very best service for years to come. As always, our employees continue to deliver exceptional service. That's why United ranked #1 in on-time arrivals of the seven major U.S. carriers during the past 12 months ending March 2005, as measured by the U.S. Department of Transportation in their most recent report. Thank you for flying United. We appreciate your business and look forward to welcoming you onboard soon. |
Thanks for the heads-up, but wouldn't this news be more appropriate in the AIRLINES message area?
|
Probably--I'll post it there, too. The concerned messages I read were on this board.

Thanks for posting. I think it's very appropriate to post here because there have been several posts from worried travelers on this board AND the europe board. I think they are actually lucky to have any employees left!!!

It's because UA is an international carrier that I suggested AIRLINES. I wouldn't do that for a domestic carrier.
I don't know why more people don't check those other message areas - a lot of posts fall in those other categories. And there's some interesting threads in them not seen anywhere else as well. |
