The Keys - Where to Stay
We are planning on spending a weekend in the keys. We are trying to decide between the Westin Key Largo, Chesapeake Resort Islamorada or The Moorings Islamorada. We will be traveling with our 5 & 6 year old boys. Any thoughts on room quality, amenities, etc.? Thanks so much.

Lucy

With children, I'd advise against the Moorings, which is more geared to adults and peace and quiet. Next door to the Moorings is the Cheeca Lodge, which is very family oriented and I think has children's programs. You might check it out.

i would recommend hawks cay resort in duck key. they have a family asv. special where two kids eat free. great pirate ship pool also. we were there last year and will go back next year for a week

We stayed at the Chesapeake Resort in Islamorada and I can honestly say my family has never enjoyed a resort more - neither have my husband or kids. It has such a lovely lagoon area surrounded by a long sandy beach with romantic hammocks. Almost every room is oceanfront - you can't go wrong.

Whoops! Didn't mean to imply that I have 2 families. I didn't read my post very carefully!
