Has anyone gone on one of the many "Midnight in the Garden..." book tours of the city? What about the "Creepy Crawl'" - Has anyone heard of this pub tour?

My husband and I really loved the book tour. Our tour guide knew the characters and had lots of good stories for us. What a lovely city. The she-crab soup's not bad either at the Pink House.

Just did Savannah in January. All the tour companies
start at the Tourist Info Centre and most cover
"The Book". After the tour you can pretty
much walk the area covered. Lunch at Clary's was
very nice. Chablis was in town but missed her
unfortunately. Still she has a website so check
it out it may tell you if she's performing while
you're there. The "Bird Girl" (cover of book)
was on display at the Telfair museum while I was
there. If she's still there it's a thrill to see
up close. Also check out Savannah.com. I'm jealous
that you are going there, it's a terrific place. If
you saw the film the soundtrack is excellent and if
you're a Kevin Spacey fan check out spaceyland.com

A great pub tour in Savannh is the Savannah Spirits Haunted Pub Crawl. My girlfriend and I took that one when we visited recently. The guide was featured on the Travel Channel, and has even written a ghost book!

I am new... sorry about my enthusiasm. I've just taken a lot of tours all up and down the East Coast and this was one of the best. There was a great pub tour in St. Augustine that I ned to find the name of and fwd onto the appropriate board that is awesome.
