A cool thing to do in Santa Monica is to go to the Farmer's Market on Arizona (between 2nd and 4th). It's on Wednesday and Saturday mornings until about 1pm. Fresh fruit and vegetables, etc. with lots of samples! Go to the Huntington Gardens in Pasendena - Where Mr. Huntington of Huntington Beach fame used to live. You'll see his house (where the Blue Boy painting 9s), the Huntington Library (amazing old documents and books) and also amazing, huge gardens his wife put together. Downtown offers diverse neighborhoods - Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Koreatown and some interesting buildings - the Main Library, the train station. Also, see if you can go see a concert at the Hollywood Bowl one night. You can search for concerts and tickets on line. It's great to see the symphony play outside. Everyone brings dinner and eats outside before the concert.

Have fun!
