The Bently
I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the Bently. My family is staying there on our trip next month. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Do you mean the hotel Bentley in Alexandria, Louisiana? Thats the only Bentley I know and its fine. "The Biltmore on the Bayou" they call it. I stayed there several yrs ago and it was very nice, historic, friendly etc...

Kristen, I'm assuming you are speaking of the Bently in NYC. It is fine; nice public areas and clean, decent-sized rooms. The location is a little far from most tourist destinations (it'snear FDR Drive); BUT this could be a plus as you will experience a quiet neighborhood feel. The area is safe and you can always get a cab back to the hotel at night so you aren't walking at a late hour.

Thanks Fran, now I feel stupid! LOL

Jon-Eric, don't feel stupid! I was searching under New York and this post appeared; if I had been looking at the "General U.S. Section" and had seen it, I would not have been sure where it was!

Kristin, enjoy your trip!

Thank you so much for your responses! I appreciate it!

Kirsten, can't go wrong with the Bentley in NY. Stayed there in the summer with my fiance and we loved it - even the location. The nearest subway is a bit of a hike away at Lexington Ave and 59th but its a nice walk, at least in the summer, and when we were not up to it, we took cabs. The rooms at the hotel were great - very spacious - ours had a living room/dining area separate from the bedroom - very nice.Lots of space. TV's in the living room AND the bedroom. The bathroom was a bit small but adequate nonetheless. And the best part was the price - 125.00 per night plus tax including continental breakfast. Can't beat it!
