The Ambassador Hotel in New Orleans

This relatively-new hotel has gotten mixed reviews on AOL's travel board. Some people loved it and some thought it was not so great. If I remember correctly, the hotel also lost a guy's car! (Literally lost it, as in it was stolen!!) I'm not wild about the location in the CBD only because it's really not close enough to the better parts of the Quarter...that's just personal opinion, however!
It looks nice enough to me, but as a local I don't stay in N.O. hotels.
Please let us know what you think. Enjoy your trip to our city!

It has a great location, right next to the new Harrah's and the French Qtr. We walked to everything from there. If you plan to stay longer than two nights, I would stay somewhere else. At $60 a night, you can't beat it for it's location. Dont' expect much from their customer service, but the rooms are clean and have alot of character. Halls are small.

I stayed at the Ambassador Hotel a few years back during Jazz Fest. It was not in the French Quarter, but not far from there. It was a warehouse-like structure that had been refurbished--a lot of exposed brick. The thing I remember most was that the room had no windows--none!! Very high ceilings and spacious, so we didn't notice until the second day. What is the address?
