The 4th Of July

**== **== **==
For those lovely people who will be visiting the United States or just going from one state to another, how will the 4th of July be celebrated in your town?
What will you be doing on the 4th?

Love those flags! **== Well, I'm doing what I almost always do on the 4th of July, which is to get one of those dirt-cheap, long haul tickets to have some fun and enhance/retain my FF status -- so it's fresh crab in San Francisco, where I'll be meeting some friends and relatives for dinner. **==

Watching fireworks from a boat in the middle of a mountain lake

Hi Scarlett ((F))
In our town there will be some fireworks **== out here in the suburbs. There will be a big **== celebration and fireworks **== in the city. You know, the one on the National Mall **== in Washington D.C. **==, our Nation's Capital **== .

Like Flyboy, I got some dirt cheap tickets, but mine are to Las Vegas. Do you think it is an appropriate place to celebrate **== independence and **== freedom ?

Watching the fireworks from our back porch. We may venture down to the Mirage to try the new buffet, we'll see.**==

Having a 'Big Chill' weekend with 2 other couples that are long time friends. Blender drinks, barbeque, board games. Spending the days at Atlantic Beach. July 4th fireworks at a friends apartment on the 31st Floor right here at home in NYC. They are catering this shindig and it should be a blast. Monday is a biking day. Planning on starting at Chelsea piers and riding up to the Cloisters for a picnic.

On Saturday going to the Star Spangled 4th Festival in my hometown of Garland, Tx. Gonna see Tommy James & the Shondelles and Steppenwolf ... woo-hoo!
They are performing at the festival.
Then visiting family on the 4th at an East Texas lake!
Y'all have a great, safe weekend!

Our nearby large town (for VT standards!)has an outhouse race (no kidding) and then a parade. It's normally held on the 4th, but this year will it will be on the 3rd instead. Should be great weather, and great fun!

We'll be going to a barbecue at our rooftop pool and later watching Macy's fireworks. (We have panoramic views & can see fireworks in all directions!)

Fantastic!

Will do a quick backpacking trip, get back in time for a neighborhood BBQ and do fireworks as a big group, then next day head to Seattle for a quick trip.

I am skipping the fireworks in DC (too crowded), but am having my 4th annual 4th of July party with about 40 friends.

This, the day after an all-day tailgate at the Jimmy Buffett concert on the 3rd.

Happy July 4th, everyone!
Karen

Y'all need to tell me how to do the flags!

Boat parade from around Noon to 4PM then a big neighborhood cookout on the beach and fireworks from my deck.

My husband and I are hosting about 20 people and I have this great Low Country guy doing all my cooking. Best clam chowder, fried chicken, potato salad, slaw, shrimp & grits, and chicken bog you've ever eaten.

Big doings on the coast this year-- Huntington Beach is 100! There will be a huge fireworks show down there.

Too bad I'll miss it. I'll be on the Belmont Shore beach in Long Beach, sitting on a big towel with my honey watching the fireworks show off the Queen Mary! Everyone have a great holiday! **== **== B-)

PS Good weather predicted for this weekend in southern CA-- YES!!!

In our little New Hampshire town, we have a parade every 4th. I play the bass drum in the pennywhistle band, and have done so for about 18 years. We have a real 'Norman Rockwell' kind of celebration, with cub scouts, horses, tractors, fire trucks, etc in the parade, and a local art show in the town hall, followed by a town cook out with fresh strawberry shortcake! We may go over to a friends cookout later, and maybe into one of the larger towns at night to see fireworks.

I am taking my daughter down to Naples on the 4th (direct flight! Whoopee!). The boys--husband and son-- will have to fend for themselves for the week while we gals soak up sun and sand! We'll be watching fireworks from Naples Pier, over the Gulf of Mexico. Can't wait 'til Sunday.

I will be spending the weekend in small town Wisconsin.**==

I can go to a different Chicken or Brat cookout/fest every day if I want to and fireworks each night Friday thru Sunday. All within 15 miles. **==**==

**==I love small towns on the 4th!**==
