The best burger in NYC it is not at JG Melon. I mean, they do make a mean burger, but it is not the best. The best has to be P.J. Clarke's on 55th and 3rd. Small-ish, a little expensive, perfectly cooked, nothing but top quality beef... I think I'll have one for dinner...

I work in Nantucket Real Estate for Great Point Properties (www.greatpointproperties.com)and am frequently have to wine and dine my clients and the Languedoc Cafe (go downstarirs not up) is one of the best burgers I have ever had. The Frites are excellent. They do not take reservations in the Cafe but it is definitely worth the wait.

Where in Richmond area is a Five Guys? I have to try this!!!

Everyone should have a White castle or a dozen before they die. (It may contribute to the death though). We used to say they give you a two day hangover!!

girlonthego, there's a Five Guys in the VCU area of Richmond - on Broad Street, a block or so from the Siegel Center and on the opposite side of the street. There's a Cold Stone Creamery in the same block.

Our German students hosted kids from the Stuttgart area last Fall and one boy named Markus set out to eat 50 burgers during his 20 day stay. He was the guest of a friend of mine who is a public health nurse married to a dentist...I had to razz her about the diet she provided for this boy!! Apparently Markus ate burger #50 at the airport before he left the USA.

The Lion's Tap in Shakopee, MN. Great burgers and fries.
There was also a place in Mankato, MN, Hilltop Tavern, that used to have the best burgers around, unfortunately, it went out of business. It did have alot of write up in its day though. When Don Navone (?) Father Guido Sarduci came through town, he said it was was one of the best burgers he'd ever had.

Whoops, almost forgot about the Kobe Beef burger @ the Vendue Rooftop Bar in Charleston, SC - INCREDIBLE burger, a cocktail, and a kick-butt view of the harbor from the top of the city.
