Thanksgiving in San Francisco
We are spending Thanksgiving in SF. Any suggestions on where we should have dinner?

Traditional Thanksgiving dinner?
|
We have no preference if traditional, different, fun etc...It's our 5th anniversary trip, so we are just looking for great overall tips - especially for Thanksgiving day since we realize a lot of places may be closed.

If you're not looking for "turkey and stuffing", I'd search on open table. Right now there are 23 restaurants showing availability, but I imagine the rest will "open up" about a month before the date.

heres a fun place to try
very non traditional though http://www.teatrozinzanni.org/ Its a dinner and show - many actors/actresses are from the Cirque de Soleil show is cross between Moulon Rouge and the Cirque de Soleil I had been to the one in Seattle a couple of times and had a great time |
If you want traditional, I would imagine any of the bigger hotels would have a Thanksgiving dinner. IMO This would be a time to try eating at one of the "posh" SF hotels.

Hi lisa, you might want to add the SF Chronical website to your Favorites. Sometime in November they will have information regarding Thanksgiving dinners at the various restaurants in SF. Enjoy your time in SF.http://www.sfgate.com/

Of the hotels offering a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, the Ritz-Carlton consistently earns raves. Reservations advised, of course.
On the other end of the spectrum, remember that Chinatown never sleeps when it comes to Thanksgiving and Christmas. A dim sum lunch might be just as jolly as turkey if you're up for it. |
Or you could do dim sum as an early lunch and have a late Thanksgiving dinner at one of the hotels.

Moose's was very very good.
