June, I think it depends what you're looking for. Do you want a simple good meal? A big buffet? Lots of decoration? A fancy-restaurant experience? Do you care abut traditional food or would you be happy with a great Chinese meal? How much do you want to spend? Are you looking for something in a specific part of town? There are so many restaurants here, and many if not most are open on Thanksgiving. Be more specific, and maybe we can help you out (though of course most of us, if not away somewhere else for the holiday, have Thanksgiving dinner at home like most other people!).

Allison on Dominick Street, Aureole, the Palm Court at the Plaza, and the Four Seasons Pool Room. Those are the places where people go out to celebrate Thanksgiving; they all serve "traditional" thanksgiving dinners. There are other decent establishments that serve less traditional thanksgivings.

John's suggestions will all be very good, are most likely all booked already, and are all very pricey.

There is a restaurant in Greenwich Village called "Good" on Greenwich Avenue. Thanksgiving dinner there last year was excellent according to friends of mine.Moderate prices.
