Thank you for the snow
Thanks guys for sending the snow! Great Britain is shivering and making the usual fuss - but a lot of us think it's great, especially in the kids holidays! Not a lot down here in the south but enough that we could take Mazzrat and her brother D.W. and the dog to play snowballs with Daddy whilst I took photo's on my new "Christmas" digital camera (really cool!) Send some more if you have any to spare1 Happy New Year to you all!
X

Hey Esme! Do you need some more? Come and get it. I'm about 18 miles Southwest of Chicago Illinois and you can take all you want. It's sparkling white and dazzles like diamonds in the daytime. It's been coming down for over 24 hours straight again and it's so high that the wild critters can no longer reach anything to eat. The rabbits etc. have climbed up the trellis and eaten the clemetis from the top and the bottom. Grandkids are using my old tobagan to have a good time on the hills, and my granddaughter outlasted all the boys. Yes! It can be fun and more than beautiful if only you don't have to drive in it. HAPPY NEW YEAR a little early.

Well Esme..it's better than the torrential floods I hear you have been having.. We are expecting 14 inches of snow tomorow and Sunday... We'll be glad to give you the loss of electricty possibly, icy roads, accidents and whatever else comes with this mess. We have all gone to the market, have our gas for our snow blowers and shovels and await the blizzard.. As for Chicago and the Mid-west.. you people out there have my sympathy. If I sound like a Grinch sorry.. I'm going to cozy up and read tomorrow..and watch it from the wndow..

Thanks everyone. The snow here is melting fast, although I think the north and east may get some more. We've enjoyed it to the full, dried our clothes, drunk our hot choc and watched it start to thaw. Happy New Year to you all - let the millenium really begin!

Esme x
