texas weekend
My sister lives north of Dallas and I live in Austin. We want to plan a weekend together (with our families, kid 8, 10, 12, 13) in July and I need some new ideas...we have done New Braunfels, the beach, San Antonio, the Frio. We prefer the outdoors with a lake or river....
|
How about the new Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop? They supposedly have a great winding pool, horsebackriding, fishing. Or perhaps that is too close to home?
How about Port Aransas? My daughter (now 16) LOVES Port Royal, mainly because of the pool. It's pricey tho. If you went during the week it would be cheaper. |
We love POrt A and Port Royal but we did that this spring. I will look at the new Hyatt. I drove by it last week and it looked real nice.

Do you like camping? Texas has some awesome state parks. Garner State Park in Concan is one of the best. They have dances, a hige pool, etc. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/f.../parks/garner/

The pool is actually the Frio River, but this is still one of the most popular state parks in Texas!
|
We thought about Frio but it is barely running because of no rain.
