I have worn shorts on Christmas day. I have also bundled up to prtect against below freezing temps. Plan for both.

I hope you enjoy your visit to our great state.
be sure to visit the Texas State Capitol Bldg, tex-mex, chicken fry, and blue bell would be my top reccomendations. also, please be sure of your driving time, texas is a wide open state!!

You have an aggresive schedule, remember we are a little spread out versus other states.
Dallas-historical School Book Depository, great museum of the JFK shooting
Food-wow, we everything at every price point
Austin-try the Doubletree University area, across the street from UT and not far form the capital.
Food-Salt Lick BBQ, many places to eat, but a Texas tradition

Well, Dallas had its first white Christmas since 1926. More snow predicted for tomorrow. Probably not the balmy weather they were hoping for. (But it was in the mid 70s on the 23rd.)
