I've been enjoying days in the upper 70's and lower 80's, but when it is -20 below this winter then you'll be able to rub in your warm temps just as I'm rubbing in my cool ones now. However, I just got back from europe, and yes, that heatwave is rough, ugh, unairconditioned trains are not all that much fun in that kind of heat.

The showed a comparison chart on TV today--Paris, France, is hotter this summer than Paris, Texas and London, England is actually the same temp at London, Texas.
Texans, turn off the airco in your homes, cars, offices and stores and you'll get the European feeling ;-)

Oh, this Texas weather. Yesterday it was sunny & hot until about 12:45 p.m. then it poured down rain for an hour, then back to sunshine, then started pouring again around 6 p.m. At least we are getting the rain!

The first time I went to Manhattan I read on the message boards about how hot it is there in the Summer. I thought, "I'm from Texas. I KNOW what hot is." No I didn't! Oh my gosh! Maybe it is just because I didn't expect it to be so hot there. I have since been told that it is because of all of the concrete which attracts the heat and the tall buildings hold the heat in because it has nowhere to go. The breeze can't move as well through the city because the of the concentration of tall buildings in such a small area. Makes sense to me. Nevertheless, I LOVE NYC & would happily buy a second home there (you know, if I could afford a second home! LOL :-D)
