Terre Haute - hotel info needed

I've been through the reviews on Tripadvisor, and, evidently, Terre Haute hasn't got a decent hotel in the mix.

So, can anyone tell me what is the NEWEST hotel there?

Thanks!!!

I stayed in a La Quinta there a couple of years ago through work wasn't terrible as I recall.

Terre Haute isn't a great hotel town. I think the Fairfield Inn might be your best bet. I can check with my brother who lives there.

Thanks everybody. Geez - even the Fairfield and the Hampton Inn get pretty lousy reviews, but hey, it's only for one night. We bid on a hotel there on Priceline but didn't get anything.

My brother tells me that TH is in the process of building a wonderful new upscale hotel in the downtown area. Sadly, it may not help you on this trip. Fairfield sounds like the best of a thin offering.

Thanks TC! If my kids ends up in college there that might come in handy. They ended up at the Best Western (and it was fine) - amazingly, the Hampton and the Fairfield were sold out!

If your kids end up in school there, THEY will be fine. My husband graduated from Rose Hulman many years ago and has had a wonderful career. They have good schools and good basketball in Indiana!

I meant "kid" (only one at the moment looking at colleges) and it is Rose Hulman that he visited!
