Temperature of Las Vegas and Grand Canyon the last week of March

We live up north. We wanted to go somewhere warm (over 60 degrees at least) during the last week of March. We had planned to go to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon, but haven't bought plane tickets yet because I've read that it is 50 degrees or less at that time. Is that correct?

A good site to determine the probable weather statistics is weatherbase.com.

Grand Canyon will most likely still be pretty cold (snow possibly) in late March. Las Vegas will be warmer though can vary from year to year. Yes, check the average highs and lows.

Vegas will likely be in the hi 70s but it can be very cold at Grand Canyon South Rim.Elevation there is 7500 feet so can get nasty winter storms in March. If you hike to the bottom of the Canyon temps will be same as Las Vegas!!!

Many years ago I was invited on a day's notice to speak at a friend's conference in Vegas (at the JW Marriott-- nice place, BTW). I didn't do any research, I just threw things into a rollabout, got a flight and rental arranged and went. No idea what the weather would be. I had light sweaters, long-sleeve shirts (it was rainy here in southern CA).

"Welcome to Las Vegas, NV. The temperature is 90° Fahrenheit!" By the time I got to the resort, it was 94°.

Whoo-HOO!!! I love me some heat!

I lucked out. YMMV.

The temperature range during March can be fairly wide. Even though it may be beautiful during the day, once it gets dark the temperature can drop quickly. You will definitely want to bring along a jacket.
