Tempe - last minute trip

Last minute trip for 2.5 days in Tempe. Will likely not have a car. Any suggestions on what to see or do. Craft shows, antique stores, historic areas?

There is a light rail that will get you around easily. Then just do a search of things to do. Heard Museum is good.

Also, Phoenix Museum of Art. Taliesen West, Frank Lloyd Wright's home, is very interesting but farther out so transportation may be a problem.

I've seen several of the FL Wright's home, so I like the idea of seeing Taliesen West.

Taliesen West is great but as mentioned, it will be tough to get to on public transit.

Another great spot is The MIM - Musical Instruments Museum, but it too is pretty far out. We spent several hours there and it wasn't nearly enough time!

Successful weekend in Tempe. Light rail worked out well when we needed to get to Phoenix - literally door-to-door service. Ended up renting a car to go to Taliesen West - cheaper than a cab -- and it allowed us time to go to Old Scottsdale. Would love to go back when we have more time.

Was a bit disappointed in Taliesen West. Can't quite put my finger on it, but it didn't wow me like the other buildings.
