Telluride Wedding

We've been invited to a black tie, destination wedding in Telluride at the end of March.
I realize my husband has to wear a tux, but can I wear a tea length dress or skirt rather than floor length?
How cold should I expect the weather to be? The wedding and reception are not in the same setting.
Cost is an issue so I prefer no make this the most practical choice I can (there are other clothes necessary for the rehearsal dinner and wedding brunch).
Thanks to the style mavens!

The etiquette mavens say that a long dress, a short dressy cocktail dress or dressy separates are appropriate for a black-tie wedding, so your tea-length dress should be fine. Yes, it will be cold in Colorado in March, especially at night. Do you have a fur jacket?

Thanks.
Nothing fur.. only a shearling. Hardly appropriate! I suppose I could hit the "vintage" shops and hope there are no PETA members in the wedding party.

Weatherin telluride in late march is very unpredictable. Can be 25 and snowy to 50 and sunny(all within an hour). March is the snowiest month for telluride
Have Fun
