Television Taping - L.A.

Does anyone have any favorite shows to see being taped in the greater LA area? We are a group of mid 30-50 somethings.

We will be there the first week of August.

I've already mailed a request for The Tonight Show but was disappointed to see that The Price is Right is not filming that week.

HI..
I love the Price is Right and I am so sorry you won't be able to see the man!
I would try the Ellen De Generes show..
How about American Idol or Deal or No Deal or Jimmy Kimmel Show?
I booked tickets for the Price is Right on-line because I want to see that Grey Fox before he retires!
I wish you all the best...

Thanks for the ideas!

I had a vivid dream when I was 6 or 7 that I was told to "Come on down..." I've never been able to time my visits to see if my dream could become a reality.

I just went to the Jay Leno show and we had tickets. I need to warn you, even if you have a ticket you're not guaranteed to get in! They told us to be in line by 3:30, we got there at 4, and we barely made the cutoff to get in....and there were tons of people behind us!

Hi, moldy. This was about 10 years ago so I don't know if it still works. When we were in LA, we found people giving out tix to shows in front of Graumann's Chinese Theatre. This is a good way to get last minute tix, but of course, these are not necessarily going to be the hit shows. But I still recommend it, we thought it was great fun to see the process they go through to film a show. The show we saw was a talk show hosted by George Hamilton and his ex-wife, Alana Stuart. (parents of Ashley Hamilton) We got those tix the day of filming and we really enjoyed this experience.

Good luck, I hope you get tickets to a show you will enjoy.

I'm finding few schedules that show more than a month in advance.

Does anyone know how far in advance the tickets (or the potential to have tickets- lol) are offered?

Moldy..
If you had vivid dreams about "Come on down" then you must go to the Price is Right..Dreams to come true..
Can you change your plans a little bit?
Best to you!

I wish that I could make my dream come true. It is silly - I still remember the hat I was wearing in the dream. The scheduling ends before I'm able to go and then resumes about 2 weeks after we must return home...

Anyone have connections with Mr. Barker to convince him to do one extra filming "just for me?"

Ellen Degeneres Show is on summer hiatus in August -- so that's out.
