Our 13 year old daughter is very active. Rappels, rafted Grand Canyon has ridden a lot of the roller coasters in the US (every one of them several times at Cedar Point). There is plenty of excitement and things to see in Alaska to keep them happy. The good activities in Alaska are expensive, but worth it.

We took our daughter to Alaska when she was 16 and the highlight was a half day halibut boat out of Homer. She wanted to do it again the next day! She'd never fished before. She also enjoyed the sled dogs at Denali.
