Teenagers and big cities

Where would be the best places for teenagers to go and have fun in:
New Orleans
Las Vegas
Seattle
NYC
Charleston
Savannah
Thanks in advance.

NYC in my opinion, and although you didn't mention it, another good one would be San Francisco.

Chicago is also good!

I'd skip Las Vegas definitely. And haven't been to New Orleans, but I've always thought it's a pretty adult destination.

NYC is great for any age. I haven't been to the others listed.

Thanks for your reply, but I meant things to do in each of these cities.

I would think that NYC and Seattle would top the list of the mentioned cities. New Orleans seems to cater more toward adults in my opinion.

jlm_mi - this former teenager had loads of fun Chicago growing up, so I agree with your recommendation too.

africanprincess, are you asking for us to list each city and then list teenager friendly activities for each?

Charlston and Savannah are neither big cities nor places teens would enjoy.

That's a tall order, africanprincess! Why not start with a search, as I'm sure most of them have been covered here before. And then a guidebook, as you'll find lots of info there as well. Asking us to list all the good teen places in 6 cities? That's a lot of work!

Or better yet, have the teens help with research. They know best what their individual interests are. Certainly different activities in each city will appeal to different teens! Some prefer shopping, others museums, others outdoor areas . . .

NYC would be the first choice and I would also second San Francisco. I have two daughters who love both of those cities. Las Vegas and New Orleans are adult cities as mentioned. I think Seattle would also be a good city for teens. When I was there I kept thinking how much my DD's would love it.

NYC, SF and Seattle would be my choices too with teenagers. Las Vegas and New Orleans would not be.

I have not been to Charleston or Savannah (although I will be going to Charleston in April with much anticipation) so I cannot comment on these two beautiful cities.

Traveling with teenagers, IMHO is fun! You get to see the world through their eyes. Have a wonderful time wherever you go!

Folks, I believe that africanprincess herself is a teen, having not so long ago posted a question about her senior trip.

Princess, teens have so many different ideas of fun, you really have to do some research on your own. Do you all enjoy shopping, history, museums, clubs, music? Take a look at past Fodors posts on each city.

True, though that was a year and a half ago. Was africanprincess just planning really far in advance then?

Have looked at some of your other questions ap. You're either a troll and wasting our time OR you need a lesson in doing a search. To answer this question, you can try typing each city AND teens in the search box above and see what comes up. You can do the same thing on a google search (ie New Orleans AND teens.) You should realize there's a big difference in what a 14 year old would like and a 19 year old.
