Teen Road Trip- Where to go?
 

My senior year some friends and I are planning a road trip or a trip to somewhere. We will be leaving from West Texas. None of us have any idea of what would be the perfect place, or places, to go. Our budget is fairly limited, but we would rather have fun than worry about money. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Wow! Multiple teens in a car for a road trip. Hmmm. Auto accident statistics on this sort of thing are not comforting. I don't think in good conscience that I could suggest anything. Better to fly someplace, have a nice time, and fly home. Be careful, Marie.

Hi, Marie, <BR>As a soon-to-be elder who still remembers senior road trips (they had just invented paving then) I think that you should be prudent and careful and go for it. A rite of passage not to be missed. <BR> <BR>I presume it will be summer when you travel and IMO leaving West Texas is a good thing in the summer. <BR> <BR>My recommendation is to mix nature and city: north through Yellowstone up to Banff and Jasper in the Rockies, then west to Vancouver BC, and home through Seattle and SF. Think camping and hostels. Your funds will stretch further in Canada (except at the gas stations.) <BR> <BR>Las Vegas will be a bore because you'll be carded all the time and won't be able even to get into some of the attractions. LA is fun but can be pricey - you need to choose. <BR> <BR>Second recommendation: Chicago then back via Memphis and/or or Nashville.
