bette midler las vegas show October 2009

hello, I see the Bette Midler show at Las Vegas Ceasar's Palace, has options to purchase a dinner w/the show. Is it worth it? Will it be hard to find dinner reservations at a nice restaurant before the show? show times on weekends are 7:30pm Or, should we just do dinner on our own? we will be there the end of October '09.
thanks all!

We did dinner on our own and then went to the show. Unless it's a super bargain, there's no need to do a dinner combo ticket.

My wife and I were there for her show 2 weeks ago and it was a great show. We had dinner at Joe's Stone Crab before the show, the restaurant recommended a 5:30 p.m. slot and it worked fine. After eating it was only about a 5-minute walk. Got there just as they started letting folks in. Show started about 10-12 minutes later than the 7:30 posted time. We could have also gone to Bobby Flay's place at Cesear's with the same results.

Unless it's an amazing bargain and really good seats, book separately.

Combining a really nice (and leisurely) dinner and a 7:30 show is too challenging - so we have a late lunch and a late light supper on show days.

If you reserve dinner somewhere at Caesar's, check the menu for appeal and prices.

You really should be at the theater 20-30 minutes ahead of the show to get seated. When people arrive late, the show starts and ends late.
