Taxi or Shuttle

Looking for advice re transport from Orlando airport to hotel. There is no complimentary shuttle service with this hotel so which would be more practical/inexpensive, taxi or shuttle. There are 2 of us and we are arriving at midnight. Our hotel is about 14 miles from airport.

Look at mousesavers.com. She has a comparisson of all the various transportation options which would be valid whether you are going to DIsney or not.

Call the shuttle service and ask where your hotel is on their stop list. If you are at the end of a long list of stops, I'd take the taxi.

You should be able to compare shuttle versus taxi rates on the web.

Thank you for your help. I did look up Mears and it was $17 per person.
When you get a taxi, is the charge per person or per carload? I guess what I am trying to say - would it be cheaper for us to take a cab since there are 2 of us?

Taxis charge by the carload.

If there are only two of you, the Mears shuttle might be cheaper, even cheaper than a 1-way car rental.

Thanks for your help. Does Mears go to other places besides hotels/airports; ie the Amtrac station as we are thinking of taking the train to visit some relatives outside of Orlando.
