Taxi cost
 

Does anyone know approx. what a taxi would cost from LGA to Floral Park? Have some quotes from car services and just want to compare. Family of four so probably would need a van. Thanks!

Taxi is on the meter - so it depends on traffic. The distance beyond the city line is priced at twice the meter amount (since NYC cabs can;t pick up in Nassau - so you have to pay their fare back to the city line).

I would expect about $35 plus tip.

Sorry - that's without traffic. If you hit traffic or construction waiting time applies and it could well be $5 or $10 more.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like there is not much difference in price between a taxi and reserving a car service ahead of time.

The benefit of a car service is they'll presumably know the way since they'll know where you're going and there won't be any issues about where to start doubling the meter. That's what I would do. Don't know who you've phoned, but I like limores.net
