Tarzan seating suggestions

If anyone has experienced Tarzan on Broadway, could you please describe for me the theatre seating? We've seen B&B - is the theatre setup similar? As of now for my date/time, we can get orchestra, row E, but off to the side. Or, we can do first mezzanine, a few rows back, middle. Any suggestions? I know at B&B the messanine would have been great, too (we did orchestra) since its overhang was so close. I have no idea on the Tarzan theatre, though. Thanks!

Because of the nature of the show, you are probably better off in the mezzanine. A significant portion takes place high up on the stage (climbing, flying, etc.)

I'm sorry to be contrary, but I always go for the closer seats and I am never disappointed.

(Also, action up high looks higher when you have to look up.)

Haven't seen Tarzan....but from experience, further back and middle is better than off to the side....

Cvail70,

You must be tearing your hair out after reading these conflicting suggestions.

You have to ask yourself: Do I want to be close to the action?

If the answer is yes, you want to be in Row E.

If the answer is no, you want to sit in the back of the mezzanine.

I would be hoping that Tarzan would spot me and wisk me away to his adorable little tree house. Ergo, will find me as close to the stage as possible.

LOL, LM Sunshine- yes, I like to be close to the action too, but most people like seeing the entire stage:)

Was it not Al Capone who said, "To each his own"?

The problem with Tarzan is that many seats are really partial view. In row E, this shouldn't be a problem, but for others reading this thread, please be advised that any seats under the overhang will be partial view at some points (even if not stated as such).

Thanks everyone! I have decided on front mezz., but so far I can't find any codes for discounts. I've checked the usual (broadwaybox, playbill, theatermania), but I'm assuming our date and/or the fact that Tarzan is new will be causing us to pay full price ($111 for Nov. 12). If anyone knows of codes for that time, please share. Thanks!

There are no discounts at this time for Tarzan.

When you go to the show, be sure to check out the seats you passed up to the inferior ones you purchased.
