Tapas restaurant in Soho/Tribeca?
 

Fellow NYC'ers! Thought I'd try this website to get an answer to the above question - Awhile ago I went to a restaurant - I think it was in Soho or Tribeca - we sat at benches (not very comfortable) and ordered tapas. I am trying to find this place - or another fantastic tapas restaurant in Soho/Tribeca for a birthday party. ANy help would be appreciated! TIA! :>

Cafe Espanol on Bleeker has had a great lunch special. I hope to go there again soon. They have some tapas, but they also have other dishes. menupages.com is a great place to check. Lunch special is not advertised.

Sala on Bowery is excellent!

There are 2 tapas places listed on menupages in Tribeca, Azafran and Flor de Sol. There are 6 places listed in Soho serving tapas: Antique Garage, Cafe Noir, Kana, Kittichai, Pintxos and Room 18.

I like Alta in the village. You can order "the whole shebang" for $275 for a large party. 64 West 10th Street (at 6th Avenue), 212-505-7777.

The "whole shebang" at Alta is now $350, Mclaurie. We just dined there tonight with our sons and loved it. I loved the atmosphere and the food was great. They also have a very nice wine list :D

i love alta! Have been there twice with a small group and wasn't disappointed. Really interesting, tasty dishes.
