Taos hot springs & ABQ lodging

My husband & I are newlyweds taking a trip to NM for a June getaway. We have heard there are great hot springs near Taos. Any recommendations? Also where is the best place to stay?

We are also going to ABQ. Should we stay in Old Town or Downtown? We are looking for day and night life. Thx!

What are you interested in doing in Albuquerque during the day?

For nightlife, check www.alibi.com

We would like to listen to live local music or go dancing at a club. Can you recommend whthere we should stay in Old Town or Downtown? Thanks.

The Alibi link I posted will give you all the nightlife information you need.

Will you have a car? If so, you can stay pretty much anywhere in Albuquerque.

I live here, so I can't really give good advice on hotels. If you have some specific places in mind, post them here and I can at least tell you what kind of neighborhood they're in.

If you're in Taos for any length of time you might want to check the Old blinking Light and see if Michael Hearne is playing. Foods not bad there either

There is a natural hot springs called Manby hot springs that is about 10 miles from Taos. Another one 10 miles from Taos is Black Rock hot springs. You can google these to get more info.

It looks like Ojo Caliente may have done some upgrades. When we were there it was sort of "cheesy."

I've been to Ojo Caliente several time in the last couple of years. They indeed were doing renovations but I really liked it. Nothing cheesy for me. The springs are nice and relaxing.

Best restaurant Joseph's Table in toas and a great watering hole can be found at the lobby/bar of taos inn where you can also find another good restaurant - Doc Martins.
