Tampa nightlife
 

Can anyone recommend any fun bars or nightlife in and around the Tampa area...Clearwater, New Port Richie, St. Pete.? Going down next week to visit my husband's grandmother but thought we could use some fun nightlife thrown in!<BR><BR>Thanks.

Ybor City in Tampa would meet your needs. Lots of restaurants and bars in a renovated section of Tampa.

There is a GREAT piano bar in Indian Rocks beach. Guy is a hoot-it's in a seafood restaurant. Can't think of the name of it, but it's right by the Holiday Inn on the main drag. Don't know your age- but there's a place on down closer to St Pete called Gator's. It's a huge bar/restaurant with all sorts of entertainment- mostly for the 21-35 yr old set I would say. However, we are late 40's and had a ball there.There's lots of good entertainment in the area- we were pleased to hear a variety of live music there.

Another vote for Ybor City. It's so packed with nightlife that you can spend an entire evening just walking the main drag and just peering in windows, then spend the next night going in the places you are interested. If you can't find something appealing, there's something wrong with you. Bars, Restaurants, stores, The street is blocked from traffic at night (we were there on a weekend, I don't know if this is true on weekdays) and you can stroll many blocks. Great people watching too-every age, every type, some you even question what planet they're from.

Ybor City is the palce to party!

ditto on Ybor....also Channelside,by the Aquarium.and the Ice Palace...Howl at the Moon(dueling piano bar and sing a long..crazy) and Stumps(supper club and bands.wild).....and Pop City(dj music--girls in a cage ,dancing,retro).....
