Tampa hotel pre and post cruise
 

We are cruising out of Tampa this summer, and are staying one day before and one day after cruise. Trying to decide between two hotels: Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina or Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay.

My husband and I are in our 40's, and we're travelling with our 14 year old son.

Would appreciate any and all comments.

I suppose the Grand Hyatt will come pick you up, or else you'll have to taxi or rent a car. It's way across town.

OK. Your 14-year-old son will be miserable at the GH. It is for lovers and people who want to wander on the bay in the mangroves. But at the Marriot Waterside you can go to Channelside (an assortment of shops and restaurants), you can take the trolley to Ybor City, and you're in downtown where there might actually be something going on.
