TAMPA - Caladesi Island or Egmont Key??
 

My wife and I are looking at one of these two while we are on our trip to the Tampa / St. Petersburg area next January.

Both are attractive, as they are more secluded (a ferry ride is required to access them) and neither of us have been to any beaches in the area other than Clearwater Beach (a lovely beach, don't get me wrong), but probably the busiest of all beaches in this area.

What are the pros and cons of each? We like the fact that they both have nature trails (3 mile trail on Caladesi, and 7 miles at Fort De Soto State Park, where the ferry is taken to Egmont Key.
