I have heard Busch Gardens is very good.

The Florida Aquarium is in downtown next to Channelside. Lowry Park Zoo is nice.

hunter, you should stay with one post. Just be patient. You are getting responses. How long will you be in Tampa/Clwr? You will probably end up spending most of your time at the Sheraton, don't you think? The beach is a great destination. And I know you and hubbie will not need lots "to do" -- if you are on your honeymoon, dear.

I am a guy. My wife-to-be isn't the one posting this stuff. I'm planning a honeymoon trip for us. Just thought I would clarify.

Tampa for honeymoon? Find a beach and relax.

Ohhhhh. Sorry. I don't know why I assumed that.

Based on where you'll be, near Clearwater Beach, you'll want to take in sunsets at the Pier. It's a happening. Lots of arts, performers, fun. For dinner, Island Way Grill is wonderful, upscale, new, great seafood. I mentioned the Cafe de France, it is really romantic and sweet. Dinner at the Don CeSar would impress her. The poster who suggested a trip to Caladesi Island (via Ferry) had a good idea but it is a day trip. You could have lunch in Dunedin first at Kelly's (it's really good, cute).

these are things that are closer to where you are going to be. Berns for dinner (in Tampa) is a really good idea too.

I can't recall when you were going but Spring Training is always a good time. I like the NY Yankees at Legends Field. The Phillys play in Clearwater -- they have a new stadium. Even if she doesn't like sports it is lots of fun to sit in the sun and watch the games.

You might want to look into the Bodies Exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa, very near the University of South Florida. It is a fascinating exhibit and is in town until April 2nd.

Another suggestion might be Ft. DeSoto Park (North Beach). Ft. DeSoto is a beautiful park in south Pinellas County and the North Beach was Dr. Beach's #1 ranked beach for 2005.

Go to downtown St. Pete and visit The Pier. The dog track is fun if you like gambling. The Lowry Park Zoo is a very enjoyable day. Another vote for the Museum of Science and Industry. Take a 45 minute drive down I-75 and stroll St. Armand's Circle in Sarasota...lovely! Browse Ybor City. Hop the pond and check out the beautiful beaches on the Pinellas side.
